I live in South Carolina and purchased a few dormant grape vine cuttings in Feb/Mar. About half have started growing leaves(mainly the green and red varieties). Since it is now mid May, should I assume the ones that haven't are still dormant or are they most likely dead?

I suppose the vines are fully dormant. So, no Michael, you don't need to water them.

If there is snow on the ground all winter, do you still need to water the roots since little liquid water will be getting to them?
