Thanks for the post and yes, we have somehow managed to stabilize the river banks but i'ts far from finish yet. The problem is that we are close to harvest and the other work on the farm is starting to build up, so I need to attend to those first. I have planted two grape vines at my allotment, a white and a red seedless grape and they grew quite well through the summer. Since the cold weather has come they look really sorry for themselves but I have read on your information that this is normal. I hope you have managed to sort all the damage that the bad weather caused and things are back to normal for you. The weather especially rain and floods have on mercy, in England we have suffered from very bad flooding the past two years and a lot of families have had to leave their homes. Fortunately where we live we are not affected. Many thanks for all your E mails, I do look forward to them, I would love to have a vineyard but unfortunately i do not have enough land.
