Danie,
I am still waiting to hear a reply about the seventy plus dollars I sent for your book, ect, ect. I am still waiting for a reply from you.

I now will be two years behind the others who received all that was promised them. I am now 81 years of age and will be 82 in October and hope to be around long enough to see my vines produce a bounty of grapes.

Hi Danie,

Season greetings to you and your family. I would like to know what causes grape vine leaves to have brown around the edges, like dried leaves. My grape vine has started from seed and it about six month old. I planted in the ground in January.
I anxiously awaits your reply.

Thanks Kindly.

Morning Danie--Have two grape vines. Concord and a round green grape. Two falls ago noticed a cluster-growth where the main stem divides into 3 other secondary limbs--this is on the green grapes. After some research found it was Crown Gall and not much one can do. UNH and local gardening radio host said i am going to lose it but if I wanted to try and get one more years growth--don't prune. I follwed their advise but also sprayed the heck out of it with Lime Sulfur. Well, had the best crop ever. Used about 14 lbs for wine making and picked and enjoyed an equal amount from the rest from the vine. I just vertilzed the vines with 10-10-10 and already pruned two months ago. The crown gall doesn't look as bad as it did. I recently sprayed with Bonide fungicide and Insecticide. Little early here in NH to see any bud formation but I'm hoping. I got hardly anything on the Concord vine last year but the year before was super. Is the pruning for All GRAPE VINES THE SAME ? Enjoy your Website-lots of good info. Lloyd Apologize for any errors--fingers don't bend like they use to.

Danie,
I have been trying to grow Schyler grapes in hopes that they will make an interesting wine. I only have 8 vines right now as an experiment. They have had black rot the past 4 of the 6 years and while I battle it with the required chemicals, I am wondering about getting them out of the area they are in.

So the question is should I even try to transplant them or just start all over again in a different area with new vines?
